However, while aluminium alloys lose some strength at elevated temperatures of 200°–250°C or 392°–482°F, their strength increases at temperatures below zero, thus being beneficial for low-temperature applications.

Machinability-

The more significant characteristics of machinability are outstanding, mainly in the plates that are machined in a more brutal temper. They can thus work almost with high speed and carbide tooling; oil lubricants are recommended for heavy cuts. Both forming processes at cold and hot working can be applied to aluminium 1100 plates, with extended workability; annealed conditions give better results.

Forming-

Welding is also easily done by conventional methods using appropriate AL 1100 consumable electrodes. This alloy has good spinners, is easily drawn or bent, and is both cold and hot, making it suitable in different industries where sheet work is involved.

The raw aluminium, after being shaped according to the requirements into plates and sheets, undergoes rigorous quality testing. Flexibility tests, flattening tests, and micro- and macro-property tests are some of the tests conducted.
